About The Project

Enter the Forest is a planting program initiated by us to embrace consumers from all across the globe in the collective effort of sustaining the extensive functions of Indonesian tropical rainforests. As one of the FSC Certificate holders, we feel the need to maintain quality and function of forests for life by managing them sustainably.

Contributions are used for the planting and care of trees in the course of 10 years with periodically alternating locations and endemic species specified by the organizer for even distribution and optimum growth.

While each tree funded retains its care, contributors can expect a massive balance of ecosystem and biodiversity. In addition to good corporate governance that gives back directly to where it takes, participation in the program ensures the availability of those very resources for years, decades and even centuries to come, benefiting not only your business but also the rest of humankind.

Follow us on a long journey which transforms seeds to trees.

Sourcing seedlings

A1. From seeds, Shorea sp.

Long before planting, we seek suitable material to match the finest seeds in order to grow the best trees.
A good mother tree is one with a high growth rate and good natural resistance. From their seeds, we hope to produce the strongest, most resilient seedlings.

A2. From seeds, Anthocephalus sp.

We prepare our seeds for all weather conditions to avoid undesirable situation.
In order to get our seeds into the best shape for planting, we give them the best environment for growth while at the same time exposing them little by little to real-life conditions.

B. From vegetative genetic replication

Seedlings growth from vegetative genetic replication is a longer process compared to growth from nurseries.
The process to transform seedlings ready-to-plant from seeds takes 7-8 months while seedlings from cutting needs 11-12 months. However the longer wait will result in uniformity of growth due to their almost identical genetics.

Reserving space

As does a child, every young plant deserves a good home. As seeds and cuttings grow into seedlings,
we start the hunt for planting grounds.

Planting

The wait is over; the seedlings are finally ready for planting.
This important milestone can either make or break them —literally.

Maintaining and managing

The seedlings may have settled in but they still have a long way to go.
Our next half of the job is making sure that they thrive and survive.
